I just bought Rich Dad Poor Dad in Spanish and the Bluey version of Monopoly Junior.
I am ordering the Bluey Monopoly junior board game because my sister told me that she wants to start a family game night with her kids and I also want to teach them about money and investing from an early age.
So you know, two birds, one stone.
I am also ordering Padre Rico Padre Pobre (Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki) because I want to develop my Spanish and financial literacy.
So again, two birds, one stone.
My plan is that once my nieces and nephew get a little older and get the basics of counting money and concept of trading cash for assets I will buy the Cashflow for Kids board game so they can start learning basic accounting principles.
This goes hand in hand with the homeschooling lessons where I teach them academics.
Things like reading, writing and basic mathematics.
I have also invested into a monthly subscription to Lingo Kids, an educational mobile gaming platform for children.
I do these things in preparation for if and when I have kids of my own I can be a good father because I have had experience teach me how to educate children.
I am investing not only in myself but also in my Godchildren.
I love them like they were my own and as one of my older cousins told me once “we were practice for you”, so it is that they are preparing me to be a good father if and when the time comes for me to step up and start my own family.
