I went to work today as a janitor, did my job, came home showered, ate and spent some time with my nieces and nephew.
I read half of the first chapter of Rich Dad Poor Dad and got reminded that the rich don’t work for money they have their money work for them.
In other words they buy cash producing assets.
I also finished reading a chapter of Social by Matt Lieberman during my lunch break at work.
The main takeaway I got from from chapter 3 is that pain caused by social and physical stimuli share commonalities in the brain and that taking painkillers like Tylenol has been scientifically proven to lessen heartbreak (like from a breakup) as well as physical pain.
Another reading goal I was able to complete during my last break at work was to read chapters 23 & 24 of Genesis from the Holy Bible.
The main takeaway I got from that is to buy a cemetery plot while you’re still alive so your family won’t have to deal with it and that having a spouse can lessen the pain of losing a parent.
So, you know it was a productive day.
